You keep 100% of recovered money during the initial letters-only phase, where we charge as low as $9.00 per account. In the secondary collection phase, you pay a competitive contingency fee for debt collection services—and we charge half the industry average because our letter method is so successful!
- Pay a flat fee during Phase 1
- Keep 100% of the money you earn back, no added fees
- Move to a low contingency fee during Phase 2
How It Works
Phase 1
In Phase 1 of the Recovery Plus debt recovery program, your accounts will receive professional letters for a competitive flat fee per account.
Consumers receive a series of up to three diplomatically worded collection letters. Consumers can pay you or IC System in Phase 1, and you’ll receive 100% of any amount realized! No commissions or added fees.
The letters hit the mail at strategic intervals within Phase 1. This softer collection approach ensures you maintain your business relationship. Then, unpaid and qualifying accounts roll into Phase II.
Phase 2
In Phase II, your accounts receive intensive and comprehensive recovery efforts with a consumer-friendly approach for a low contingency fee*. You pay only when your consumers do.
Collection Services Include:
- Credit Reporting**
- Credit Monitoring**
- Analytical modeling for maximum recoveries
- Skip tracing
- Direct Communications*
- Consumer-friendly calls
- Attorney referral and litigation options
*On qualifying accounts
**Credit reporting available only on qualifying accounts
Legal Support & Litigation FAQs
What is the "Non-Litigation Attorney Referral" service mentioned
Non-litigation attorney referral with InstiCollect creates urgency with calls and letters from an attorney on IC System’s behalf. We find that a letter or call from an attorney’s office is often an effective deterrent from further delinquency.
If, after an initial collection period, we have not secured payment, IC System will refer eligible accounts to attorneys. We provide referrals to our nationwide network of attorney partners, who assist in the collection process.
Does using the Attorney Referral service mean I am suing the debtor?
No, Non-litigation Attorney Referral is not litigation. It does not mean the consumer is being “sued” or brought to court. Instead, it is a process of introducing a law firm into the collections process as an additional input. This new input often motivates consumers to resolve their outstanding payments that otherwise may have been ignored.
Will IC System sue a debtor automatically if they don't pay?
No, the attorney will not “sue” the consumer or debtor. NLAR is a Non-litigation process that does not involve litigation in a courtroom setting.
How much does legal action cost compared to standard collections?
Actual Lawsuits and associated legal expenses in bringing a private lawsuit can become very expensive. Non-litigation Attorney Referral is an increased intensity collections activity but the only cost to you is a contingency rate of 50%. No additional fees or expenses will apply.
Do I have to appear in court?
No, you will not need to appear in court, and these additional collections activities will happen without any additional effort on your part.
Can I hire my own lawyer instead of using their network?
You are always within your rights to hire an attorney on your own, however that would be an entirely separate action. If that action is desired, you should recall your debt and remove it from IC System and/or the NLAR (Non-litigation Attorney Referral) process.
