Training at I.C. System Shows True Colors™
Posted in I.C. System News on August 17, 2012
Ever wonder what your true color is? We’ve been wondering for quite some time here at I.C. System – so we did something about it. We have increased the depth of our training tools by having our own Phil Aune, Proposal Manager, formally trained as a True Colors™ Facilitator.
Phil has just instructed his fifth class and has already visited 3 of I.C. System’s 4 Midwest locations to train classes of I.C. System employees from each site. True Colors™ is a model for understanding yourself and others based on your personality temperament. The colors of Orange, Green, Blue and Gold are used to differentiate the four central personality styles of True Colors™.
The course was first used at I.C. System for teambuilding and personality attenuation training back in the mid-nineteen nineties. It is back by popular demand!
The underlying idea is that by further educating I.C. System employees to better recognize various personality types, and more importantly, learning techniques for better interactions with those personalities, we can improve in our interpersonal communications – both internal and external.
True Colors™ was first started by Don Lowry back in 1978, this methodology has been used across the globe by a variety of businesses from Ford to Pfizer and from Kraft to Cargill.
Beyond the benefits to improved interpersonal communications comes the side benefit of team building and just plain fun. The groups have thus far been very receptive to the program with over 70 employees trained thus far. Classes for future dates are filling up. Keep at it Phil!
